Full Service Oil Change-
Our oil change is far from a quick-lube service, yet will only take about 30 minutes. We start every oil change service with a short road test where we can listen to the engine and suspension to get a feel for your vehicle’s overall performance. Following the test drive, we’ll replace your vehicle’s engine oil and filter with high quality synthetic blend oil and original equipment filter. Every car is raised on a lift and an expert will fully inspect all suspension components. We will set your tire pressure and all necessary fluids will be checked and topped off. Finally, your service light will be reset and next service reminder sticker provided. If any repairs are required we will make suggestions in order of priority. We stock many parts for common faults and if time allows, some repairs can be made on the spot which can avoid return visits.

This oil change is not just a drain and fill. Your car will be up on a lift and will get a safety check over by guys who know your cars. We will top the fluids and set the tire pressure. Check engine PCV pressure. And always reset the service reminder lamp.
We use semi synthetic engine oil and OEM filters. They are a bit more expensive than the cheap products used at quick lube shops, but these cars demand quality parts and lubricants to achieve high mileage driving.

Headlight Refinishing Service-
Cloudy headlights are not only unsightly, they are unsafe. With the state’s new inspection rules, cloudy headlamps are causing frequent failures. Our headlamp refinishing is much more than the temporary buff or spray treatment offered by car wash and detail shops. We use a 6-step refinishing process that leaves your headlamps looking new, and it will last the life of your car.
Precision Alignment Service-
Our state-of-the-art alignment equipment, combined with our specialized experience results in a highly precise alignment. Proper alignment will get the most out of your tire life and suspension performance. We recommend alignments twice a year, especially after harsh winter driving. Saabs and Volvos sometimes have special requirements and adjustments which can be overlooked if you are not familiar. We provide a complete front and rear alignment check and adjustment. Some adjustments may require special replacement parts, we are well educated in everything your Swedish car may need.
Volvo Timing and Serpentine Belt Service-
Timing belt replacement is one of the most important repairs your Volvo will require. Not only does it require experience, but the proper parts will avoid costly repairs. We don’t take any shortcuts on this service and replace all required parts. If your timing belt (or any of the components that it touches) fails, it causes severe internal engine damage. The timing belt is not the only important belt service. The serpentine belt can also cause major problems if it fails. Both belts and all the the pulleys and tensioners replacement are replaced with our belt services. Volvo required replacement interval can vary but is most commonly 105k-120k miles. State Inspection Pre-Check Service-
Don’t get stuck with multiple trips to the Inspection Station or the hassle of driving with a rejection sticker. Let us help to make this annual appointment easier. This is a drop-off service appointment where we will perform an inspection pre-check and make sure your car is in passing condition before handling the inspection process for you. If any repairs are required and time allows, we can perform repairs and have your car inspected same day. Some repairs may require special order parts, in that case we will have your car inspected after repairs are made at your next visit.
Volvo 3.2L 120k Mile Service-
The Volvo 6 cylinder 3.2L I6 engine has a special belt and service. Volvo recommends this service at 150k miles but it has been our experience that the belt tensioner or idler pulley commonly fail prematurely. At Indie Auto we recommend this service at 120k miles to avoid costly repair and down-time. The I6 engine uses a short belt to drive components on both sides using a clutch coupler. For this service it is necessary to replace the drive belt, water pump, idler, tensioner, and the coupler clutch. There is also a one-way pulley which may require replacement if it shows signs of wear.
